The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ has a deep symbolical Truth, By: Noel Archun

The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ has a deep symbolical Truth which People from all walks of Life should know. In his left side is the sinner named Hestas who mocked him and taunted him to show his power to save them if he is truly the Son of God. Hestas represented the Jews and the coming race of Ishmael the Muslims who never believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. They are the ones referred in John 16:2-3, "The hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God. They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me." Thus in a sura in Quran it is written for them to kill the Christians and the Jews.

On the right side is Dimas, the repentant thief which represents the Gentiles who accepted him and asked forgiveness for his sins. And for this what Jesus Christ's mission is:"to save his people from sins." Thus when Jesus Christ shouted, "Consummatum est!" The work of the Son of God is finished. The Salvation brought to all Mankind that "God gave his only begotten Son." Thus in fulfillment and the end of the old order when Jesus Christ said:

"The Law and the Prophets LASTED until John:but from then on the kingdom of God is proclaimed."(Luke 16:16)

This is the sense of "Go and learn the meaning of the words, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice." (Matthew 9:13)
